On June 8, 2024, Saturday, the stage is set for the semifinals of the PFF U19 Boys National Championship 2024 Division 1 at the Dynamic Herb-Borromeo Sports Complex in Talisay, Cebu, with Negros Occidental RFA (NORFA) battling Panay RFA and Central Visayas RFA (CVFA) facing the National Capital Region FA (NCRFA).
RECAP
On May 23, 2024, Division 1 Group A’s Cordillera RFA (CRFA) lost to Southeast Luzon Masbate RFA (SELMARFA), 1-3. The evening game was neck-to-neck with NORFA and NCR FA managing only one goal each at the end of 90 minutes.
Over at Group B, Panay FA (PFA) upset Camiguin-Misamis Oriental RFA (CMORFA) by two goals, 2-0. In the evening match, Zamboanga del Norte Dipolog FA (ZANDIFA) proved to be no match to CVFA as the latter edged ZANDIFA by 5 points, fulltime: 1-6.
NORFA rained goals on CRFA, 11-0 on Match Day 3, May 24. In the second game, NCRFA defeated SELMARFA, 3-0.
On May 25, ZANDIFA obtained its first win when it quashed CMORFA, 2-0. CVFA capped the Group B group stage competitions with a victory versus PFA, 2-0.

The Panay FA squad led by head coach Tommy Escoltero aims to give Negros Occidental RFA a run for the money with efforts led by their goal scorers Vincent Ardeloso, Hanz Beljz Ycaza, Rian Carl Catalan and team captain Ryan Paolo Cudal.
NORFA head coach Ian Combate is going to ensure that his team– fortified by the likes of Franz Noel Hervias, Elijan Zedrick Ballesteros, John Lloyd Liguaton, Ryan Dax Bandojo, and team captain Anthony Joseph Galve–is prepared for any surprise.
The showdown between Central Visayas FA and National Capital Region FA is touted to be an equal match-up. CVFA head coach Glenn Ramos is relying on his leaders Joseph Kyne Garces, Czar Robert Daanoy, John Lexter Conde, and Merick Baloria to make the difference. As NCRFA head coach Jake Morallo maintains confidence that his key players Czam Acuesta, Jacob Keleghan, Arvin Alyaon and Kent Airrol Pelarca will pave the way for a semifinal victory.
