The Philippine Football Federation today sent off the U16 Girls Team which will compete in the AFC U16 Girls Championship Qualifying Round. The team will face Myanmar on Sunday, October 5, Taiwan on Tuesday, October 7, and Chinese Taipei on Thursday, October 9, 2014. The winner of the group will play in the Asian Football Confederation U16 Women’s Championship in China in 2015, with the top 2 teams advancing to the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Jordan in 2016.
Almost half of the Philippine squad is composed of U14 players that won 1st runner-up in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U14 Girls Regional Championships for Southeast Asia this June.
