The Philippine National Men’s Team emerged victorious against Papua New Guinea in their first international friendly match held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium earlier tonight.
Azkals striker Mark Hartmann scored 4 goals on the 2nd, 10th, 19th and 48th minute while Phil Younghusband scored on the 41st minute.
Considered as a FIFA International Friendly Match, the game was part of the preparations of the Philippine National Team for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 Final Round beginning on 22 November 2014. Papua New Guinea is likewise preparing for an upcoming tournament among Pacific Island countries in July 2015.
