The Philippines U19 National Football Team, which is participating in the CHINA-ASEAN International Youth Football Tournament from 21 to 25 February 2016in Dongxing City, Guangxi Province, China PR, lost its first match yesterday against China PR U19 with a score of 0-4. The squad will next play against Croatia U19 (February 23) and Uzbekistan U19 (February 25).
Head coach Noel Marcaida, assisted by coaches Marlon Pinero and Anthony Albao, mentor the team. Coach Marlon Maro helped prepare the squad in training starting January 5. The squad is composed of players selected from current U19 national pool:

PFF considers the tournament as a good opportunity to help prepare a competitive PHI U19 team for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U19 Championship to be held in August/September 2016 in Hanoi, Vietnam. Chinese Football Association invited the Philippines in December 2015 to participate in the tournament.
