The Philippines Men’s National Team steadfast run to the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 is at a crossroads today.
Team manager Dan Palami underscored how a win in the match can further propel football in the country.
The Azkals take on Nepal in the Philippines’ fifth match in the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Qualifiers today, Tuesday, 14 November 2017 at the ANFA Complex in Kathmandu, Nepal.
“Perhaps this is one of the most important matches in recent football history,” said Palami. “Winning this will allow us to qualify for the Asian Cup for the very first time. I feel like it’s Hanoi- 2010 all over again,” continued Palami.
Philippine Football Federation president Nonong Araneta bids the Men’s National Team good luck in the match today.
“Our Men’s National Team have worked hard and look determined for the game against Nepal,” said Araneta. “They carry with them our hope and that of millions of sports-loving Filipinos; by qualifying for the AFC Asian Cup 2019, we can again etch another historic moment for Philippine football.
