Sunday’s PFF Women’s League matches at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite saw OutKast FC and the University of the Santo Tomas Women’s Football Team widen their league at the top of the standings.
OutKast FC came away with a 2-0 win over Far Eastern University Women’s Football Team in the first match. Lindsay Whaley opened the scoring with a headed goal in the 9th minute and substitute Marianne Narciso doubled the advantage in the 73rd minute.
The second match saw University of Santo Tomas Women’s Football Team move to the top of the standings after the 12-0 rout of De La Salle Zobel Women’s Football Team. Shelah Mae Cadag was unstoppable scoring a total of 8 goals (2′, 9′, 13′, 26′, 38′, 56′, 68′, 75′) in the win. Rachelle Sanchez also scored twice (47′ & 79′) while Ronalyn Lagata (65′) and Nina Yanto (89′) netted a goal each.
UST are level on points with OutKast with 6 points. However, UST holds a better goal differential of +18 as compared to OutKast’s +10.
The PFF Women’s League returns this Saturday, 8 September 2018, with Green Archers United facing DLSZ at 8:00 AM followed by the match between OutKast and the University of the Philippines at 10:30 AM. All matches are shown live on pff.org.ph/pff-tv.
