The Philippine Football Federation, with the Laguna-Cavite Regional Football Association, conducted the PFF Category 1 Referees Course from 9-12 September 2018 in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
There were 26 participants for the course, which is catered to referees who aspire to officiate in national competitions sanctioned by the PFF such as the Philippines Football League, the Copa Paulino Alcantara, the PFF Women’s League, and youth competitions. In addition participants who successfully pass the course will have the opportunity to be nominated as FIFA Referees/Assistant Referees in the future.
The Laguna Sports Complex Football Field was used for the practical sessions while the Gov. Felecisimo T. San Luis Integrated Senior High School was used for the theory sessions.
The instructors for the course were PFF Referees Department Head Mr. Allan Martinez and Mr. Jaime Nicolau III. They were assisted by LFA Referees Head Mr. Roberto Hernandez and FIFA Assistant Referee Mr. Krizmark Nañola.
