The Philippines Under-22 Team yielded to Thailand following a 0-3 loss in the second match of the AFF U22 Championship 2019 last Tuesday 19 February 2019 at the National Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Having frustrated Vietnam in their first match last Sunday, the team were unable to contain Thailand in the first half, yielding two goals inside the first 15 minutes.
Despite two goal deficit, the Philippines pressed to attack in the second half. Midfielder Mark Winhoffer came close to finding the back of the net in the 60th minute but his free kick hit the crossbar.
Thailand added a third goal in the 83rd minute.
The Philippines team will finish their campaign with a match against Timor Leste on Thursday 21 February 2019.
