As the country slowly eases its safe return to conduct football activities, the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) announces the schedule of the PFF Coaching Certificate Courses offered this year.
The coaching courses offered for the year are: PFF ‘C’ Coaching Certificate, PFF ‘B’ Diploma, and PFF ‘A’ Diploma. PFF will also offer specialized AFC coaching courses for Futsal, Goalkeeping, and Fitness.

The PFF Coaching Courses are under the auspices of the AFC Coaching Convention A – level membership which permits PFF to conduct the equivalent and AFC coaching certificate courses as PFF Diploma courses.
“As football activity slowly marks its return in the communities, we welcome and encourage all football coaches to apply for the PFF coaching certificate courses which will now be conducted on the field, while complying with the minimum health and safety protocols,” said PFF general secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes. “It is an opportune time for our coaches to gain further knowledge for them to become better coaches in their respective areas.”
“With the resumption of football activities, we are delighted we are able conduct the PFF Coaching Courses on a face-to-face basis while adhering to the health and safety protocols,” added PFF Coaching Education head Marlon Maro. “The past two years have seen our coaches be challenged by taking the courses through online webinars, and now as the country opens up, we hope that our coaches will learn from these courses to maximize their capabilities when they return to their teams.”
PFF invites all aspiring coaches to attend the PFF Coaching Courses to further enhance their coaching abilities. The coaching courses is open to all coaches who are at least eighteen (18) years old, endorsed by a PFF Member Association.
For PFF coaching courses, participants must show proof of qualification such as:
PFF ‘C’ Coaching Certificate – must be at least a Philippine Youth Coaching Certificate (PYCC, formerly NCCC/PYCL) holder or a former national team player or has played in PFL, UAAP, NCAA or in other regular regional football league/tournament or has at least two (2) years basic coaching experience
PFF ‘B’ Diploma – AFC ‘C’ or PFF ‘C’ Certificate holder for two (2) years
PFF ‘A’ Diploma – AFC ‘B’ or PFF ‘B’ Diploma holder for two (2) years
AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching Certificate Course and AFC Goalkeeping Level 1 Coaching Certificate Course – at least an AFC ‘C’ License holder for one (1) year.
AFC Futsal Level 2 Coaching Certificate Course – must be an AFC Futsal Level 1 holder for two (2) years.
AFC Goalkeeping Level 1 Coaching Certificate Course – must be at least an AFC ‘C’ Certificate or PFF ‘C’ Diploma holder for one (1) year.
AFC Goalkeeping Level 2 Coaching Certificate Course – must be an AFC Goalkeeping Level 1 Certificate holder for two (2) years.
AFC Fitness Level 1A & 1B Coaching Certificate Course – must be at least AFC ‘B’ Certificate or PFF ‘B’ Diploma holder for one (1) year.
