The Philippine Football Federation has joined forces with broadcaster Cignal TV in the airing of the Philippines’ matches in the AFF Women’s Championship 2022 starting Monday.
Under the agreement, Cignal TV will be airing the Filipinas’ Group A matches against Australia (July 4), Singapore (July 6), Malaysia (July 8), Indonesia (July 10) on free TV channel One Sports and on its premium channel One Sports+.
The Filipinas’ clash against the Thailand on July 12 will only be aired live on One Sports+ while One Sports will have the match at a later time.
It will mark the first time the Filipinas will be playing at home since making history with a first ever qualification to the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand last January.
The Filipinas, coached by Australian Alen Stajcic, also marked another milestone last May by winning a bronze medal in the 31st Southeast Asian Games. The medal is the country’s first in the women’s football event since 1985.
