The Philippine Under-19 National Team concluded their AFC U20 Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers with a resounding win over Afghanistan last Sunday 18 September 2022 at the Al-Saadah Sports Sports Complex in Salalah, Oman.
The Philippines had numerous chances on goal and were duly rewarded when Kamil Amirul’s fired from close range in the 83rd minute winner to seal the win. Gavin Muens’ corner found Jaime Rosquillo in the box. The defender rose the highest to flick it to the path of Amirul, who delivered the wining goal.
The Under-19 side end their campaign with three points on the back of one win and two losses.
