The Philippine Under-20 Women’s National Team yielded to China U20, 0-6, in their opening match of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers last Wednesday 08 March 2023 at the KM16 National Stadium in Vientiane, Laos.
Goals from Huo Yexin (9’ 36’), Zou Mengyao (22’), Lu Jiayu (69’), Ouyang Yuhuan (74’), and Qiao Ruiqi (82’) sent the Chinese side to the top of Group A with six points.
The result leaves the Filipinas U20 side at the bottom of group A while Laos and Hong Kong drew 2-2 in the second match to put themselves on the board.
The Philippines face hosts Laos tomorrow 10 March 2023 at 8:30 PM Manila time.
