A pair of second half goals sent the Philippine Men’s National Team into a 0-2 loss to Kuwait in their meeting last night (Saturday morning in Manila) at the Jaber Al Ahmad Stadium in Kuwait City.
The Azkals weathered the Kuwaiti attack in the first half, forcing a scoreless draw.
However, goals from Bader Al-Fadhel and Ali Khalaf gave the hosts the victory against the Azkals, who played their first international match after the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup two months ago.
The friendly is part of the team’s initial preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this year.
The Azkals return to action on Tuesday (Wednesday morning in Manila) when they battle Jordan in Doha, Qatar.
