Three-time champions De La Salle University began their title defense with a convincing 7-0 win over Azzurri FC in the PFF Women’s League action last Saturday 01 July 2023 at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
Angelica Teves led La Salle with a five-goal romp scoring in the 19th, 39th, 43rd, 54th, and 82nd minutes. Substitute Lara Regarde also contributed to the win with two goals in the 68th and 76th minutes to claim their first three points at the expense of Azzurri, who have lost their second straight match.
Tuloy FC maintained its strong start with a 6-1 demolition of Stallion Laguna FC in the second match.
Isabella Bandoja fired a hat-trick in the third, 39th, and 67th minutes while Arjhane Bolivar (16’), Lanie Ortillo (46’), and Demely Rollon (90’) adding to the scoreline. Stallion eventually netted a late consolation from Alyssa Ube.
