Far Eastern University moved back to provisional first place after humbling nine-woman Stallion Laguna to a 9-0 defeat in the PFF Women’s League 2023 sponsored by Coca-Cola Philippines last Saturday at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
Dionesia Tolentin showed why she’s one of the league’s top strikers with a four-goal romp in the fifth, 14th, 42nd, and 68th minutes.
Sarahgen Tulabing also added firepower to the Lady Tamaraws in the 22nd and 59th minutes while Kyla Doctora (11’), Jelan Paubaya (40’), and Regine Rebosura (72’) added gloss to the scoreline.
Tuloy FC finally broke their slump, banking on a resurgent second half to hand De La Salle University their second loss, 6-2.
It was La Salle that actually led at the early stages of the second half after Angelica Teves’ netted brace in the 22nd and 56th minutes, cancelling out Isabella Bandoja’s 11th minute opener.
However, Tuloy mounted their comeback in the 73rd minute from Lanie Ortillo’s strike. It was a sign of things to come as Bandoja scored two goals in the 78th and 79th minutes and the Louraine Evangelista added a fifth in the 80th minute completing a turnaround in a span of three minutes.
Bandoja put the result beyond doubt with the sixth goal in the 90th minute.
