The PFF Technical Department conducted its first department meeting of the year last Thursday, 23 January 2020 at PFF House of Football.
The meeting was led by PFF Technical Director Jose Ariston Caslib. Among the matters discussed is the events and activities that the Coaching Education, Competitions, Grassroots, Youth Development, Women’s Football, Futsal, and Referees have accomplished in the past year and the proposed courses events, and activities to be conducted for 2020 particularly coaching courses, youth competitions, grassroots events, referees courses, and the proposed Coaches Conference.
PFF president Mariano Araneta, Jr., vice president Joselito Piñol, and general secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes were also in attendance for the meeting.
Meanwhile, it was reported that two PFF competitions namely the PFF U15 Boys National Championship and the PFF Women’s League are set to hold their final matches in February 2020.
“The PFF has made advances in the development of the technical side of football both in human resources and activities,” said Caslib. “Now, we have to surpass our output in the past year into meaningful and lasting technical initiatives.”
“There is now a brighter future ahead for the technical development of the sport in the country,” said Araneta. “Credit goes to the PFF Technical Department for their unwavering efforts in continuously having efficient ways to hone our players, coaches, and officials.”
