MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines Women’s National Team received a boost ahead of the AFF Women’s Championship 2018 as MVP Sports Foundation extended support for the team for the tournament.
MVP Sports Foundation is a privately-funded sports development foundation of the MVP Group of Companies that supports sports programs through funding and provides technical feedback on how to improve current sporting practices.
PFF general secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes thanked MVP Sports Foundation, through its football program director Vincent Santos, for its valuable assistance, which support in the recent campaign for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Jordan 2018.
“We are thankful that the MVP Sports Foundation has decided to support the Philippines Women’s National Team. Women’s football in the country is growing and many, including football stakeholders appreciate this kund of support form the MVP Sports Foundation.” said Gastanes.
The team will begin their AFF Women’s Championship 2018 campaign on 1 July 2018. The team will face Myanmar, Singapore, Vietnam, and tournament host Indonesia.
