The Philippine Under-19 National Team began their AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers campaign with a 0-3 loss to Oman Wednesday night (Thursday morning in Manila) at the Al-Saadah Sports Complex in Salalah, Oman.
Oman raced to a 2-0 lead in the opening 15 minutes of the match from Nasser Ali Al Saqri and Khalid Ibrahim Al Sulaimi.
The hosts added a third goal in the 30th minute from Ali Hassan Al Bulushi and went on to preserve the scoreline.
The Philippines U19 side will face Thailand in their second fixture on Friday, 16 September 2022.
